At the 50th birthday bash for the late Biggie Smalls on Friday, the Queen Bee exclusively revealed that her life story will soon be told on the screen.
“Oh my God,” she said, according to the New York Post. “Everyone’s gonna know things that they’ve never known.” As for casting someone to play the Queen Bee, she hasn’t made up her mind yet stating she doesn’t know who’s going to embody her.
Kim noted that the film will closely trail the release of her upcoming memoir , The Queen Bee, which is scheduled to hit shelves later this year.
The book is poised to be a page-turner as she gives an in-depth look into her remarkable life and career.
Kim previously said she wants singer Teyanna Taylor to play her in a biopic.
Regarding the biopic, Kim doesn’t know which actress will be playing her in the starring role due to the film being in the early stages of development.
I don’t know,” Kim said “We’ll have to see.”
“I see my movie in parts. So I have to find the perfect little girl, then I have to find the teenager, then I have to find the perfect teenager into almost like young adult, and then I play the remaining part myself,” she told Essence in a 2021 interview.
“I love Teyana (Taylor). She’s my only other thought. There’s nobody else in the industry at all but Teyana. But, even before Teyana, I would love to give some little girls from Brooklyn a chance so I can connect. Really connect.”
Kim confirmed to The Post that the biopic would closely mirror her memoir, “The Queen Bee,” set to drop later this year via Hachette Books.
“I’m excited to finally get to tell my story after all this time,” Lil’ Kim told PEOPLE of the memoir last year. “Many people have thought they knew the story of Lil’ Kim, but they have no idea.”

According to the report, The Queen Bee will chronicle Lil’ Kim’s nearly 30-year career in the hip-hop game — and the obstacles she had to overcome — including her stint in prison.
Per its official description, via NME, the book will cover “hidden moments of her reign”, which include “her complicated high-profile relationships, the misogynistic industry she fought to change through sex positivity, the challenging double standards of self-image and beauty in the spotlight, and the momentous act of loyalty that ultimately landed her in prison.”
While Kim spilled a little tea, she’s not quite ready to reveal which actress she wants to portray her in the film. Fans can recall the controversial casting of the 2009 blockbuster “Notorious,” which chronicled Biggie’s rise to fame. ‘Power‘ actress Naturi Naughton, 38, was selected to play her in the film in which the “Crush On You” rapper publicly voiced her disdain on the casting selection.
Really!? Considering how much she disliked Naturi Naughton’s casting in 2009’s Notorious, I find it hard to believe Kim doesn’t have a few names in mind. In a November 2019 interview on the Hollywood Unlocked podcast, the “Crush On You” rapper said her problems with Naughton stemmed from the two having nothing in common.
