kanye west president campaign didn’t go as planned, as he only gained about 66,000 votes in various states across the country on 2020 presidential candidates.
West's campaign acknowledged Tuesday in a letter to the Federal Election Commission that someone with access to the campaign's bank account, but not affiliated with the campaign itself, stole $3,999 in campaign funds to pay off credit card bills.
The Federal Election Campaign Act requires all political campaigns to keep track and report all receipts of funding and donations received in support of political campaigns.
“It has been determined that the disbursement for $1474 on 12/9/21, $1280 on 2/8/22 and $1245 on 2/22/22 was an external fraud situation,” The thefts occurred in late 2021 and early 2022, West's campaign said.

The letter further stated that West's campaign sought, but could not get, the money back from the First Bank of Wyoming, where the campaign had an account. "The bank was unable to reverse the transactions at issue due to the way they were presented for payment" the campaign wrote the FEC.
The kanye west president 2020 campaign still had $392,000 in cash on hand as of March 31" according to FEC records.
The FEC ended up flagging the transactions and informed Kanye West’s camp of the activity, but they haven’t been able to identify the source of the fraud, as no arrest has been made yet either with the police’s involvement.
Kanye first announced his ambition to run for president in 2015, and in 2020, less than four months before the election, he launched his bid.
“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for President of the United States … #2020VISION,” Ye said.

Even with the failed presidential bid, his confidence has not wavered, and he’s still planning on running once again in the 2024 election ``kanye west president 2024``, which he hinted at during his 2021 Drink Champs interview.
“Just Ye 2024, let’s go,” he said to conclude the viral interview.

A representative for West — also known as Ye — could not immediately be reached for comment. But, as the lyrics to West's song "Heaven and Hell" state: "Men go to work and some go stealing / Everyone's got to make a living."
Kanye heavily invested in his presidential aspirations, to the point he reportedly poured about $13 million of his own money into kanye west president campaign, according to the FEC DATA HERE.
