There is certainly a lot of excitement this year, as fans will get to see their favorite stars wearing red carpets. Several candidates for the Best Reggae Album category have already appeared in Las Vegas for pre-Grammy celebrations.

The Queen of Dancehall Spice was celebrated at the Blue Brunch with a relevant theme at the Sugar Factory yesterday, with Gramps Morgan and Sean Paul appearing at the Grgae Dance Regall Dancehall last night at the English Hotel in Las Vegas Art District.
The 2022 nominations for Best Reggae Album are:

Live N Livin - Sean Paul
     Pajoma - Etana
     Royal - Jesse Royal
     Positive Vibration - Gramps Morgan
Beauty in the Silence - Soja

     10 of Spice

Spice's debut album, 10 is undoubtedly the biggest Grammy contestant of this year's Best Reggae Album. Deejay, whose real name is Grace Hamilton, is the first female Dancehall artist to be nominated for the Award.

His 15-song collection came last August with a good selection of songs featuring uptempo Dancehall and Reggae riddims and a mix of other genres. The album, which was produced by Shaggy, features a collaboration with 'Mr. Bombastic 'himself and Sean Paul on "Dancehall song of the year," Go Down Deh entered the list of NPR's 100 Best Songs of 2021.
  • The album peaked at Billboard Reggae album charts, ranking 6th.

    Sean Paul's Live N Livin

With one Grammy Award already under his belt, Sean Paul Live N 'Livin could record his second gold gramophone.

Live N Livin spent a week on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart at number 9.

    Etana's Together

Together is Etana's second Grammy nomination, the first female musician to be nominated twice in the Best Reggae Album category. Launched June 25, 2021, 15 songs compiled by Damian Marley, Alborosie, Vybz Kartel, and Stonebwoy among others, all "sharing and sharing the same message of love and unity" - as the singer puts it.

The project, released in March last year, was a solid collaboration, as all but one of the songs featured a foreign artist. There were twenty-two guests, most of them from a new generation of Dancehall artists.
  • Other guests seen included her 14-year-old son Nicholas on the song Po Po, along with Olaf Blackwood and Melissa Musique.

    Gramps Morgan Positive Vibration

A return to what could be a third Grammy Award (the first two through the Morgan Heritage band), Gramps Morgan's third Positive Vibration album, released by Canadian singer and songwriter Johnny Reid, is also very popular with fans and The same critics.

"Gramps Morgan blends well with Reggae and Country on his 'Positive Vibration' album ... and songs that have a tropical island feel, as well as the added beauty of Country instruments such as guitar and dobro," Forbes wrote. The 15-song project involved India.Arie, Shaggy, Lybran, Denroy Morgan, and Jemere Morgan.

    Jesse Royal's Royal

Jesse Royal's second album released sound from Reggae, Dancehall, Afrobeats, Soul, and Traphall music with the help of cultural selection of highlighted guest artists. Included in the 11-song collection are contributions from Protoje, Vybz Kartel, Stonebwoy, Kumar, Samory I and Runkus.

Royal is a consistent representative of the Rastafari singer and Jamaican Reggae music culture, showcasing a new kind of movement, making his gold gramophone victory this year so reliable.

    SOJA Beauty in the Silence

Soja's Beauty in the Silence spent three weeks on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, ranking 2nd.
