UB40 will sing the Birmingham 2022 Festival on an album that brings together all artists in the UK

UB40 artists collaborating with Robin Campbell, Jimmy Brown, Norman Lamont Hassan, Earl Falconer, Matt Doyle, Martin Meredith, Tony Mullings and Laurence Parry

 UB40 and other great artists will be featured on the All Masters concept album at the Birmingham 2022 Festival.

On Record is billed as a 'love letter to Birmingham' and will be released to music fans around the world free of charge in June.

The album was produced and produced by the Birmingham Music Archive, and will feature eleven original songs written and recorded exclusively by artists including Bambi Bains, Cherry Pickles, Dapz on the Map, SANITY, Tj Rehmi, and UB40.

UB40's Robin Campbell said: "On Record is an exciting project with a unique mix of Birmingham artists who represent the cultural diversity of our city and we are proud of our contribution to that."

The album promises to deliver from Birmingham's rich musical heritage which Birmingham 2022 believes is gaining cultural awareness.

Types of songs and rhythms include Afrobeat, neo-soul, trip-hop, Asian electronica, folk, garage rock, jazz, Reggae, RnB, Hip-Hop and UK rap.
