Kanye West Releases DONDA Song List 2, Available Only on Stem Player Software

Kanye West announces his 11th album Donda 2, and makes it clear that he does not play with streaming services taking up most of his money. A list of album songs is also now available.

Kanye West announced on Instagram that his next album to be released on 2/22/2022 will not be available to fans on streaming sites as he plans to release his "stem player" on which the album will be uploaded. His team also says that the album will be available on the Stem Player app and website, which means you won't have to buy an expensive device to listen to the album.
While some questioned whether the rapper would keep his promise and release the album on a date, he said he would do so. The date now seems to be more important than ever as it signifies a possible change in how artists can release music in the future.

The rapper says he cuts off streaming services because of their bad contracts.

"Donda 2 will only be available on my Platform, the stem player. Not on Apple Amazon Spotify or YouTube," Kanye said in a caption on Instagram Thursday night.

"Today artists get only 12% of the revenue from the industry. It's time to release music from this oppressive system. It's time to take control and build our own. Go to stemplayer.com now to order," he told fans.

Kanye West also reviewed the video player troupe, which he first announced in 2021. The device allows the owner to "personalize any song" and was developed by Ye's Yeezy Tech Brand and electronics company Kano. The device sells for $ 200 and has a microphone jack and Bluetooth support, which is very similar to the Walkman and radio included.

The device went on sale for Donda's debut album and featured a USB-C door, voice buttons, speaker, haptic engine and 8GB of storage.

At the same time, Kanye's move highlights the potential for change in the way artists sell and distribute their music.

For the most part, Kanye has been calling on streaming platforms for how they make money from artists but they do not face the daily challenges that artists face.

Recently, he praised Jay-Z for fighting for artistic freedom when it came to songs, but Kanye made sure he felt that streaming services should feel the same problem if artists had to. "I'm very happy that Jay Z is fighting for our artistic freedom," Kanye wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.

"As an artist we can say whatever we want in songs. If our songs can be used against us why not follow Apple Spotify radio distributors as well. But no, only the artist is affected by this." Meanwhile, fans of the rapper were not very pleased with the announcement or the price of Stem Player.

The volume of the device was sold after 'Donda 1' was released, so it will be interesting to see its sales this year. Kanye West shared a list of songs for the album on Instagram while touching on some of the collaborators without naming the artists. The list of songs reached 22, but he shared only the title of 21 songs.
