Grammys Set New Date, 2022 Awards Ceremony: Here Are The Ten Nominees From Jamaica


 The Recording Academy has announced that the 64th edition of the Grammys will be held on April 3, instead of the original date of January 31. This year's competition will also be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the first time, with ten Jamaican artists nominated for one or more awards. in four components.

 In the Best Dance / Electronic Album category, Major Lazer, three Diplo DJs, Walshy Fire from Jamaica & Ape Drums, who hail from Kingston, are among six candidates for their Music Is The Weapon (Reloaded) project.

American-born Jamaican singer Masego won the Best R&B Album nomination with his EP titled Read Abroad: Long Stay, where Shenseea has been featured in a strong collaboration produced by IzyBeats, Silver Tongue Devil.

On April 3, South African comedian and TV presenter Trevor Noah will officiate the evening's event.
