Sean Paul Congratulates Women At Dancehall Not Forgetting Grammy Historic Nominations for Spice

veteran deejay Sean Paul hopes that the Spice 10 debut album, Grammy, will inspire and inspire more women in the genre.

That is because she believes that her inclusion will help such hard-working women gain greater recognition.

Speaking to the STAR, he made the remarks following his nomination for a Grammy in the Best Reggae Album category for his work, Live N Livin. The "Warm" singer also said that he believes women have been holding on to the genre for the past few years. He greeted the women at the dancehall, saying they deserved more recognition for their tireless work.

Although Spice's success is remarkable, Sean Paul also took the time to recognize other female deejays who have been working. He specifically mentioned Ce’Cile, Shenseea, Jada Kingdom, and Ishawna. Among the other names he mentioned are 2020 Koffee Grammy Award winners, Lila Ike, Jaz Elise, Naomi Cowan, and Sevana.

Of course, Sean Paul admitted that he could not shout at every female deejay in the dancehall, but he was sure to add that "many women have increased their game. The biggest issue is that they are not only visible but more audible and impactful."

What is known about this present moment for the female deejay is that they are finally more widely known as important contributors of that kind. Female actors are often known for their stage performances or a few songs, but now almost everything they show is played a lot, the nine-time Grammy nominee said. Their recognition has been around for a long time, he added.

"That's the most exciting thing that's happening right now. Congratulations ladies!" he added.

Speaking at his Grammy nomination, Sean Paul revealed that this was special because he tried to represent strong dance. The album focused on unity, a topic he has been emphasizing throughout 2021. So much so that his album has a variety of artists, including veterans and newcomers.

Another reason that the selection may be special to him is that this album is the first to be released on his Dutty Rock Productions label. It could be a year of many awards for her, as well as she is ready for the MOBO Award along with six other Jamaican artists in the Best Reggae Act for 2021. She will compete with three other women in the award, including Spice, Lila. Ike, and Shenseea. Skillibeng and Popcaan are two other artists vying for the award.

Each time, Sean Paul is still working away from new music as well. He recently released a new song with Sia called "Dynamite." SP shared that he hopes to bring him home and that no matter what the outcome, he is proud to represent Jamaican culture at the international level.
