Rihanna Signs Four Unreleased Songs, Fans Enjoy New Music

In the past few days, several tweets have surfaced about the Umbrella singer's registration of four new names. Check with BMI, Rihanna's music publisher, features a Mama Told Me entry, a song composed by herself, Christian Keyon Jr. Boggs (who worked with Rihanna on Goodnight Gotham), and Travis Darelle "Teddy" Walton. (known for songs by Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, and Bryson Tiller). Another new song, Bluff, in BMI was written and composed by himself, Justin Asilo, Jonathan Birkner, Christian Keyon Jr. Boggs, Patrick Magno, and Leon G. Thomas III.

 The tweets also showed Rage registration, written and composed by Rihanna, Christian Keyon Jr. Boggs, Malik Yusef (Beyoncé, Kanye West), Mekkel Carter, and Grandma Prayed, written and composed by Rihanna, Jonathan Birkner, Christian Keyon Jr. Boggs, Francesca Simone Boszormenyi, Karter Mekkel, and Malik Yusef El Shabazz Jones.

 Since 2016, the 33-year-old has recorded more than a dozen songs that have not been released, some with major contributions from Jamaican Dancehall artists and producers, based on the R9 Reggae theme. According to BMI, they include: Lock and Key

Lock and Key, officially registered in April 2016, was written and produced by Kranium (Nobody Has To Know, Gal Policy), producer from Jamaica Supa Dups (who has worked with Drake, Sean Paul, Beenie Man, Nicki Minaj), Shama Joseph, and Rihanna herself, according to the BMI entry.

Private Loving

In 2019, Revolt TV reported that Rihanna was allegedly recording a new song by BMI called Private Loving, which was written and produced by Dancehall Demarco artist and producer (Fallen Soldiers, Puppy Tail, Lazy Body, I Love My Life), and singer UK. Monique Lawz. At the time, rumors were rife, as Rihanna had not confirmed the song. Demarco, however, responded to a social media post about the issue, which many people considered as proof that the song was actually recorded. The BMI website shows that Demarco, whose name is Collin Demar Edwards, has a 62.5 percent dividend for his contributions to Private Loving.

The Bajan megastar singer said he has been spending time experimenting with different sounds, and as a result, his new music, which will be his ninth album, will sound different from his previous projects.

By the end of 2019, the Rude Boy singer had made it clear that he would not release the music until he felt he was ready. Rihanna told Time magazine in another interview that she was "very pleased with the amount of material" she had so far, but "will not keep it until it is complete".

“Riri is coming back with R9, bring it !! Better to be late than never !! "another said.

Some dubbed her the "queen of false hopes" saying they would not hold their breath, as they were sure that no album would be available in the near future.

"Yeah, I'm done releasing Rihanna's album. Yall will have to wait for her for about 2 years," Luis Pacheco said, with Denny Jones adding: "I'll just trust him when he announces the date."
