This clip is the first part of column 12 about the life of the legendary wareggae
Bob Marley's family and friends are discussing the life of the late Bob Marley: This section is the first of a series of 12 documents that will be coming to YouTube on the coming months. In about 20 minutes, the section shows Marley's Jamaican home and the influence he had on the island.
His family - Ziggy, Julian, Skip, Rohan and others - appear in conversations with friends and musicians, including Buju Banton and Lloyd "Bread" McDonald. Topics include Marley's craft and cannabis influence; vintage images and live images pass through the screen. The Iron Lion Zion EP has also dropped, featuring a 7-inch and 12-inch mix of title track, and two dub versions. The EP concludes with "Smile Jamaica," a song from 1976. Legacy and EP are the latest additions to "Marley75," a year-long celebration of the reggae star, who would turn 75 on February 6. Marley's family, UMe and Island Records teamed up in collaboration. They previously released a live video for the "Redemption Song."
