Rihanna praised Kendrick Lamar for winning the Pulitzer Prize in music and became the first rapper to receive the award. Rihanna was just as excited as we all feel about Kendrick carrying that prestigious award, telling her that it will inspire the next generation.

Kendrick Lamar won the Pulitzer Prize for his Grammy-winning album DAMN making it his first non-fiction or jazz award. The Pulitzer Board says the project is "a work that addresses the complexities of African-American life,".
Not only is Rihanna the artist who showed love for Kendrick Lamar on Twitter, other artists have been vocal recently and what it means for hip hop. Kendrick had the biggest album on the planet last year with DAMN breaking all records.
Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar won the Best Rap / Sung Performance Grammy for their Koabo "Loyalty" on the album.
